Electric Heating Tube Resistance Test

2023 10/26

The following are the specific operation steps on how to perform resistance testing on electric heating tubes:

1. Prepare tools and materials: resistance tester (ohmmeter), insulation materials (such as cardboard), a safe location (such as a clean workbench).

2. Make sure the power supply is turned off and remove the power cord from the heating pipe.

3. Test both ends of the electric heating tube with a resistance tester (ohmmeter) and write down the measured resistance value. Theoretically, if the resistance value is zero, it means that the electric heating tube is internal short circuit; If the resistance value is infinity, it indicates that the internal circuit of the heating tube is broken.

4. If the measured resistance value is not within the expected range, you can try to turn the electric heating tube to test the resistance value in different positions to find possible open or short circuit locations.

5. If a problem is found, the heating tube may need to be removed from the device for more detailed inspection and repair.

The above steps are only applicable to the general heating tube resistance test. In some cases, more detailed inspection and testing steps may also be required. Please ensure that all safety regulations are observed during operation and that the power supply is turned off to avoid the risk of electric shock.
